We’ve seen Aspire make some headway lately with innovative designs. They seem to have a renewed push to take a prominent place in the box mod market, after having sort of disappeared for a little while there. With the Aspire Skystar 210W, they’re hoping to carve out that place. We were excited to get a hold of it and the Revvo tank that comes in this kit. How did Aspire do? Let’s find out!
The Skystar has a cool name, and Aspire found a way to stand out from the box mod crowd but not in an over the top manner. The design on the Skystar is crisp and smooth. It may be a little bigger than similar vape mods, but it doesn’t appear that way. Part of the reason for that are the rounded edges, which accent the different colour schemes well. Topping it off is the chrome at the top and in the seams. That’s a nice touch and gives it almost a retro feel, yet really quite modern.
In terms of build, it feels oh so nice in your hand. The smoothness of the curves and the texture really give you confidence that this is a well-built vape mod. It surprised with how light it was, but definitely not in a cheap way. It has a nice sized touch screen right in the middle, above which is the fire button and below is the usb jack. The touch screen works well and Aspire has obviously put quality at the forefront of their thought process. The same goes for the included Revvo tank, which is impressively built and matches the Skystar stride for stride.
This is what we were really interested in. The Skystar may be a looker, but it doesn’t mean a thing if it doesn’t perform up to par. We quickly found out that this 210-watt box mod is more than up to the test. It ramped up quite nicely and reached a comfortable wattage level with the various sub-ohm tanks we tested it with. But that was almost unnecessary as the included Revvo tank was absolutely phenomenal.
The concept behind the Revvo is rather vape-shattering. Instead of a regular round coil head, this tank has something entirely unlike what you’re used to seeing. It uses a coil that is thin and flat, with a very large surface space for wicking. That is the key to the ARC (Aspire Radial Coil) coil and Aspire promises a huge reduction in dry hits because of it. What we got was some of the best flavour we’ve had, along with huge clouds of vapour. Even at a lower wattage level, the Revvo as powered by the Skystar delivered amazingly. We couldn’t be happier on this front, and kudos goes to Aspire for really breaking the mold.
You’ll get the usual suspects for higher wattage box mod such as the Aspire Skystar. Of course you have your variable wattage mode, variable voltage mode, and Temperature Control for Nickel, Titanium and Stainless Steel. You also get to play with custom power curves (CPS mode) to tweak your power distribution to the ideal for your use. Bypass mode is included too, so you can go un-regulated if that is what you wish to do.
The Aspire Skystar runs on dual 18650 batteries, which is fairly standard for a vape mod of this size and wattage. If you choose to charge your batteries in the device, the touch screen will display their levels individually, which is nice. Also nice is the 1.3-inch OLED display, which has rather good contrast. It’s a bit small for a touch screen, but it does the job.
For the Revvo tank, the quick fill feature is spectacular, and we’ll cover that in the next section. The other main feature of the sub-ohm tank is that radial coil which we’ve discussed, but it is worth mentioning again how much we loved it!

Ease of Use:
The entire point of a touch screen is to make it easy to use, and we think Aspire did okay here. The menu itself isn’t complicated, and the touch responds well, but the screen size means you need to be rather exact with your taps. There’s still enough surface space on the Skystar to have a larger screen, so we wonder why it ended up so small.
Don’t get us wrong – this is a very easy to use device. We had to nitpick on the screen because the rest of this vape mod is simply a piece of cake. You screw on the tank and you are ready to go. What’s even better is the Revvo tank’s incredible easy to fill design. You don’t have to do anything with the tank to fill it. Simply open up your e-liquid bottle, stick it into the drip tip, and squeeze. No unscrewing the tank, no flipping back the drip tip – nothing! It’s a truly revolutionary design and makes it even more beginner friendly for anyone who wants a no-fuss experience. The one thing you do have to make sure you do is flip it upside down once in a while so it wicks properly.
The best price among our vetted vendors was £64.99, which is definitely in the upper range of tanks… except this is a full kit. It’s not just a full kit, it comes with a rather incredible Revvo tank. You do have to purchase a couple 18650 batteries separately, but the price to performance ratio is still off the charts. If you can swing 65 quid for this kit, you won’t regret it.
It should come as no surprise that we absolutely loved the Aspira Skystar 210W Revvo Kit. The only slight drawback is it being a little large, and that small touch screen. All of that is overshadowed by the incredible performance of both the box mod itself as well as the groundbreaking tank. With the easy to fill design of the tank, this is a kit that could appeal to beginners as well.
Except it’s perfect for veteran vapers too. It has all the modes you need, the power, and the 1-2 punch with the sub-ohm tank is ideal. Whether you are looking to pick up your next box mod or want something to grow into, this kit is a great option. We can’t find any reason to not pick one up, and thus we recommend it wholeheartedly.
