Everyone seems to be jumping into the mini box mod market, and not to be left out is Digiflavor. This is a rather new brand, but we’ve seen the rookies come in and blow us away, so we’re going to reserve judgment from the outset. With this 28 wattage entry, Digiflavor seems to be targeting a very specific audience. Let’s get into this further and see how this product matched up to our review standards.
As with many mini box mods, the first thing that will stand out for you is the size. This is one really tiny vape mod, as this trend of smaller and smaller keeps rolling along. Without a doubt, the Ubox is one of the smallest we’ve seen thus far. That does tend to make it look cheap, and at first glance we thought the same of this Digiflavor offering, but closer inspection proved us wrong. This isn’t a plastic casing as we thought, but rather a zinc alloy. It isn’t designed so small and sleek that you’ll drop it – there are actually ergonomic ridges along the panels. It’s these little decisions that showed us Digiflavor is taking their product seriously.
They also too a decidedly e-cigarette view of making this box mod. There’s only one button! That’s almost unheard of, but they’ve done it here. It is a rather nice button that clicks well, and this is a good time to mention that the overall build is more than solid. It’s a very light vape mod, but it doesn’t feel poorly made at all. In addition to the one fire button, there are three LED lights that will help guide you to what is going on with this mini. We’ll get into the specifics later, but along with the included tank, it appears that Digiflavor has done more than a fine job in the Design and Build categories.
It seems like they keep dropping the wattage levels of this mini box mods, and we keep expecting them to be laughable in terms of performance. It’s a valid assumption, but here we’ve been proven wrong for at least the second time in a row. The Ubox may only have 28 measly watts, but it sure does know how to leverage them for optimal performance. Along with the included U Tank, this is a vape mod that really knows what users want and gets at it.
This couldn’t be accomplished without quality coils, and the included 0.5ohm one does a solid job as a major component. While you won’t get an overwhelming amount of vapour, you do get, really, a very nice amount. More than once we were legitimately surprised at the amount of vapour it actually did produce, especially when the flavour was also coming it a very nice standard. It didn’t blow us away with either, but for a box mod this small and with this much power, it all of a sudden became a legitimate option. Especially for on the go vaping.
Here’s where there are drawbacks to a mini box mod. If it gets small enough, so does it’s feature set. Really what we mean by that here are the different modes you might expect from your vape mod. You won’t get variable voltage, or variable wattage. You certainly won’t get temperature control. What you get is one mod – 28 watts of full Digiflavor power! True, it isn’t as exciting as you don’t have any options, but it sure does make things easier. Just pick up the Ubox and start vaping with one button. That gives you a really good idea of who this product is intended for, at least on a whole.

Ease of Use:
As we already touched upon in the last section, the Ubox is a very easy to use box mod. You have a one button design, so there isn’t a lot you can change, but there isn’t a lot to mess up either. The included U Tank is also really easy to use. Simple screw it on, add some e-liquid, and start vaping. It has a top fill design, so you just screw off the drip tip top and fill the tank. The U Tank also has an adjustable airflow mechanism at the bottom, so I suppose you do actually have some fiddling you can do with this vape mod.
With a lack of a screen to give you product feedback, Digiflavor went the old fashioned route. The concept is that the three LED lights will signal you to issues, and make pinpointing them easy too. It’s a great idea, but it does take some getting used to. For instance, the top LED light is supposed to flash when it’s overheated and needs to be shut down, but when vaping on it all three lights flash. It takes a little trial and error to understand how the lights work, but once you do have them down it does make life easier. Especially since they also serve as battery charge indicators.
You won’t find any arguments from us in this category. At a very low £24.99 from one of our most trusted online shops, this is a value buy. Simply put, you won’t find many box mod kits at this price point, so cost isn’t a consideration here.
We’re happy to say that Digiflavor has forced us to once again sing the praises of a low wattage, mini box mod device. The Digiflavor Ubox 28W Kit is super light, yet packs a great vaping punch. It’s so small you’ll have to be sure you don’t lose it in your pocket, yet it gives you great vapour and very nice flavour too. It also does pretty well in terms of battery life, especially since you’re vaping at a lower wattage.
Not having any modes or options does take some getting used to, but that just means this box mod isn’t for everyone. Clearly Digiflavour was targeting the e-cigarette user who wants a better vaping experience, or the new vaper enitirely. For those people, this is an excellent entry way into vape mods. Even if you are a seasoned box mod vaper, you might like having a secondary device that is incredibly portable and you don’t have to put any thought into. Whichever way you slice it, this new mini box mod is a winner and has once again made us believers in this emerging category.
