VooPoo made its first splash with the Gold Drag box mod, which was overwhelmingly gold. It was also a very good vape, so we were looking forward to a follow-up product. In steps the VooPoo Too 188W kit, with yet another eye-catching aesthetic. Will this be another winner for the brand with the weird name (VooPoo is just too funny to say)? We’re going to find out below, so stick around!
Well, we can’t get around starting with how the panels look. I mean, they are truly psychedelic. Both panels have a full design across them with no buttons, meaning it’s almost like looking at a painting. What’s even more interesting is that the inside of the panels has a design too. Once again VooPoo is definitely looking to get noticed, and they’ve done that here. You’re only going to see the inside of those panels when replacing your batteries, so that’s quite an investment for a short amount of visibility.
The rest of the design is crunched into the sides, where a small OLED screen sits between the fire button and the +/- buttons. The build of this vape mod is pretty solid, although sliding the batteries doors open feels a little on the loose side and we could see them coming open when you don’t intend them too. The gold plated, spring loaded connector on the top is very solid, however, and as a whole, we didn’t feel it was cheaply made.
As for the included U-Force tank, it feels well made and we’ve had experience with it from the Gold Drag. So we knew we were getting a quality tank and here it fits nicely with the Too. It doesn’t particularly feel like it belongs in a kit with the aforementioned box mod from a design perspective, but we’re not sure any tank could fit the Too’s audacious side paneling.
VooPoo again comes out with a rather odd maximum wattage level. First it was the Gold Drag being 157 watts, and now the Too that goes up to 188 watts. That’s if you load it with two batteries. If you load it with only one, it’ll go up to 80 watts. Of course, wattage can just be a number, so we were more interested in how it actually vapes. Thankfully, VooPoo is again making use of the Gene chip, which we were thoroughly impressed with in the past. The same goes here, as it powers a very fast vape mod that ramps in a hurry and delivers wonderful performance.z
We don’t think this box mod can quite make it up to its stated 188 watts, but that’s okay by us. Expect to have a good range of power up into the 150 range before you feel a drop-off, which is typically more than enough for most vapers. Along with the VooPoo U-Force tank, it was able to create some really wonderful vapour clouds that were both full and tasty.
You’ll get a standard set of features with the VooPoo, which isn’t a bad thing at all. Variable wattage is a given, but this box mod also has a temperature control mode. That can handle Nickel, Titanium, and Stainless Steel and it does so rather well as TC goes. There’s also an “S” mode which seems to pulsate power to the coil rather than sending it straight through. We’re not entirely sure it has an effect on your vaping experience, so we left it off.
Another cool little feature is predictive wattage. When placing a new coil head in your tank, you’ll be prompted by the Gene chip on if it is a new coil. Once affirming it is, your wattage will be set automatically based on what you’ve installed. It’s a nifty add-on that we liked, but it’s also not a game changer obviously.

Ease of Use:
This vape mod is rather easy to use, and that starts with its impressive ramp-up time that means you can be vaping pretty much right away. The menus allow for that too as they are easy to scroll through and perhaps even on the bare bones side of things. That, of course, makes it even easier, as you aren’t overwhelmed with options and different settings. You won’t get lost in the menu, which is great because the OLED menu is on the small side, so you don’t want to have to spend too much time peering into it.
The U-Force is a really simple tank to use, as well as to take apart for cleaning and changing the coil. Filling it with e-liquid comes the way of a top-fill design. Just push the drip tip back with your thumb to reveal the filling hole, click it back into place when you’re done, and you’re all set.
Coming in at as little as £59.99 from one of our favourite vendors, this is a very well priced vape mod. Even as a stand-alone this would be a good price, but certainly, it is when you consider the quality tank that comes with it. You’ll have to tack on your own 18650 batteries or buy your own, but this is still a bargain, so cost really isn’t an issue.
We really liked the VooPoo Too 188W kit as a powerful option with a really cool design. It does have some drawbacks and that mostly have to do with the battery doors feeling not as secure as we would like. It’s also on the weightier side, but nothing outrageous by any means.
On the inside, the Gene chip drives some really impressive vapor output and that is always our primary concern. The aesthetic is either something you like or don’t, but it isn’t as out there as the overwhelmingly Gold product that came out before this. If you like how it looks, you’ll get a great performance to price value. We can’t help but give it a thumbs up on that account and we’re glad to see VooPoo come through once again with a high-quality product,
