Vaporizing is a huge trend, and there’s no suggestion that it’s going to get less popular in recent years. Unfortunately, with all this new technology comes a whole new set of problems – one of which is the issue of a leaky vape.
If your vape is leaking and you’re not sure what the problem is, read this quick list of potential issues. You should be able to sort out the problem after reading this list.
Are You Filling Your Tank Properly?
One of the most common problems that leads people to experiencing a leak is improperly filling their tank. Make sure that you avoid getting any liquid in the central tube when you’re filling up; tilting it backwards and pouring the juice in slowly can help prevent this. Liquid in the central tube will almost inevitably lead to leakage.
Is It Tight Enough?
It’s important to make sure that everything is screwed properly together. If things are loose, you might experience a leak. Common issues occur when people don’t re-attach their atomizer tight enough. It’s also important to make sure that things are screwed in evenly so they don’t cross-thread.
Are You Storing It Properly?
When you’re not using your vape, you should store it standing upright – especially when there’s less liquid in the tank. If it’s on its side, some of the juice may leak out into the central chamber and lead to leaks.
Are You Using Proper Hardware and Liquid?
Each different piece or hardware – especially coils – will respond differently to different types of liquid. If you’re using a high resistance coil with a very thick liquid, you may clog the coil and experience leakages.
If you’re using higher VG liquid then you need to make sure that you get a powerful coil, otherwise the liquid won’t evaporate properly, and this can lead to leakage.
Are Your O-Rings in Good Shape?
If you have unhealthy O-rings, this can contribute to leaking. You’re going to need to disassemble your clearomizer or tank to check out the status of your O-rings, which means you’ll probably need a small screwdriver. It’ll be pretty easy to tell if any of them are in need of repair or replacement.
Are You Using Enough Power?
If you’re sucking a lot of vape juice into the coil but your settings aren’t high enough for the liquid to actually evaporate, you’ll probably end up with some issues regarding leakage. Make sure that you keep your power settings high enough.
